Genevieve Oldfield

Genevieve Oldfield is a physiotherapist with a special interest in pain management. She graduated from UCT with a BSc in Physiotherapy in 2011. She did her community service year in rural Transkei and went on to work in both in-patient and out-patient settings, where she discovered her passion for assisting people in improving their function and quality of life. In 2020, she completed her pain management courses at the Train Pain Academy.

As part of Integration House, she strives to treat you as a whole rather than just as an injured body part or painful area. She works with both acute and chronic pain patients, combining rehabilitation and pain treatment to improve quality of life and function.

The aim is to provide a holistic, patient-centred, healing and restorative treatment that combines evidence-based and integrative knowledge and abilities to help you reach your goals. This means that your experience is unique to you and that no "recipe treatment" is used.

Genevieve is a passionate athlete who competed in various long-distance trail and road running events as a former South African National Gymnast. She also does yoga and meditation daily as well as hiking, surfing, and rock climbing. She enjoys cooking and reading, but she prefers to be on the mountain or in the water. Genevieve has also completed Dry Needling 1&2 and APPI Pilates, and many mindfulness courses.
